Good Afternoon ICP!

The difference between recreational basketball and elite basketball can be described in one word...MARCH! This is a time wear the real players decide they want to seperate themselves from the rest of the pack, for it is this month that college march madness, nba playoff runs , hs state championships and most notingly AAU basketball become the #1 focus nationally.

This is the time, when the sun comes out and other options tend to look a little more attractive. I would callenge everyone to talk to their child and revisti their commitiment. As a club this is the time we love, everyone has got a little rhythm going while experiencing triumphs and defeats. Travel now includes planes vs. car rides which adds another level of excitement but most importantly expense.

As a staff we are reenergized and ready to take it to the next level...are you?

ATTENTION ICP 10U-9U SQUADS!

Please make sure your student athlete purchases a 3 ring binder this weekend, as ALL of our young men will begin receiving workout programs and motivation excercise. We would like everyone to keep their binder throughout the season.

Coaches will give notice as to when we will need to bring our binders to practice/ meetings. This weekend, each student athlete will bring home the following info;

* 2008/2009 mid season report
* 2008/ 2009 updated travel schedule
* 2008/ 2009 Mar- June training schedule
* Spring workout plan

Please make sure that these items are placed in his 3 ring binder (all icp hand-outs will be 3-hole punched prior to distribution)

In addition we will need to start making travel plans for our Sacramento, Seattle and Las Vegas trips. If you do not plan on attending please let us know ASAP, so we can begin to coordinate a plan for your child to be able to attend. We will have suggested hotels and airlines for everyone to make their travel plans.

If you come across any GREAT deals please advise as I am sure all families are trying to lock down a good deal.

ICP FEES/ PAPERWORK/ AAU CARDS/ ESSAYS/!

THANK YOU for getting all of your paperwork in. If you have not submitted your AAU card please do so THIS WEEKEND. If you have made payment arrangements, please follow thru with your plan. ICP 2008/2009 account balances have been emailed to everyone. It is very important that we receive ALL fees as this is our primary revenue stream and without 100% support we can not run our programs day to day operations.

*Reminder: The shuttle bus from Jefferson H.S. to ICP Practice Facility leaves promptly 30 minutes before ALL scheduled practice sessions Friday-Sunday. Please ensure everyone who uses the shuttle bus arrives in a timely manner as we must leave no later than
6:30pm on Friday Evenings
8:30am on Saturday Mornings
3:00pm on Sunday Afternoon
*Please make sure all boys come to practice with their practice gear and two pairs of shoes (1 for track,1 for gym)
