Good Morning ICP!

FINALLY! The weather has cleared and im sure everyone is ready to get these kids back to school and out of the house for GOOD! I know that everyone will be a bit rusty for this weekends tourney BUT we should be able to work our way thu this weekend and head into a new year of growth and development for ALL of our teams.

2008 WEST COAST REGIONAL XMAS CHAMPIONSHIPS!

We will host our annual Xmas tourney THIS WEEKEND and need ALL ICP players to plan on helping out for both days 7:30am- 7:30pm. We will not require parents to volunteer as there will be many games going on and we want families to be able to support ALL ICP games during the weekend.

So consider us a 12 hour babysitter for Saturday and Sunday as this tourney is part of each players community service commitment to ICP. Outside of playing in their basketball games, the kids will assist with score clocks, keeping stats, cleaning up the gym and helping out with concessions.

Lewis and Clark College will be WCRXC headquarters. We expect all of our (rookie, 12u and 13u) players to arrive at Lewis and Clark by 7:30am on Saturday and Sunday to help run this event. All (14U) players will arrive at LaSalle Prep no later than 7:30am on Saturday ONLY and Warner Pacific at 7:30am on Sunday ONLY! Hopefully this schedule will work for everyone as there wont be a need to do much traveling between games.

Please feel free to invite all friends and family out to support our event as ICP and Seattle Rotary normally compete for the biggest followings for every tournament. Admission will be $5 per day and covers entry to all gyms for all games.

Sorry for the delay, but we will be playing in at least 1 event every month thru July, so buckle your seatbelts and get ready for the RIDE!

QUICK NOTE!

Please make sure all players wear there practice uniforms (coach Jeff will bring Rookies game uniforms) as we will play in them during the tournament. Also make sure everyone wears there game shoes this weekend. We will need to take a few pics to send out to REEBOK.

Coaches will be in contact with interested parents to organize a few positions during the season;
1. someone to record/ video tape games
2. scorekeeper
3. team mom

If you are interested any either of these positions for your sons team please let us know so we can fill that void moving into 2009.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR!

All (5) teams will depart for our first road trip of the season January 17- 19 to Seattle, Washington for their annual MLK Classic. We WILL NOT play our 1st game until Saturday January 17th and the tourney will end Monday January 19th. We have an ICP room block setup at our traditional Courtyard Marriott. I will forward ALL pertinent info today, as everyone will need to make there reservations no later than Saturday January 10th.
